JEE Mains 2013 – Creating one hell of a confusionMarch 31st, 2013
It’s a week from now that the first part of the nation’s biggest engineering entrance test, the Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET 2013), the JEE Mains 2013 is going to take place across the country at various centers. Students are at the last steps of their two-year preparation for this day. However, students of Andhra Pradesh who aspire to get through the JEE Mains 2013 are pushed more and more into uncertainty because of the delay in release of the extra topics to be covered by Intermediate students of AP.
The government of Andhra Pradesh owned Telugu Akademi has released updated versions of its text books earlier this week. Officials claim that these text books will help students appearing for competitive exams of this year like JEE Mains 2013, EAMCET 2013 etc. However, these text books reach the markets only in the first week of June, thus helping only the 2014 batch to get advantage. Added to this, even junior colleges haven’t taken proper steps to boost the confidence of the students. Few students from junior colleges complain saying that no proper material or tests were given to them to meet their preparation requirements.
The bridge course that was introduced to close the gap between Intermediate syllabus and the syllabus prescribed for ISEET 2013, could only outline the extra topics that have to be covered. It couldn’t provide ample resources or planning to cover those topics in detail. This situation is applicable to students appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2013) going to be held on May 05, 2013. The students are bewildered at the set pattern followed by junior colleges and coaching institutions , owing to the marked differences between the syllabus prescribed for Intermediate and syllabus followed by CBSE for NEET 2013.
Many students feel disheartened that only 1.5 lakh students will make it to JEE Advanced 2013 and they being the first batch of students giving ISEET 2013, they will have to suffer. Our experts from ExamsCorner and NetBadi have said that they were expecting JEE Mains 2013 question paper to be of the old AIEEE standards. However it is just a haunch.
